Ekondo Titi Baptist Health Center
It is one of the newest health centres of the CBCHS which officially started offering services on March 4, 2013. On the first day, the centre saw 19 patients and today a monthly average of 350 patients is seen. The staff strength in 2014 stood at 10 permanent including a screener and one temporal worker up from six at creation. The health centre is delivering care in a temporal plank structure, meantime a piece of land to serve as a permanent site has been donated by the Paramount Chief of Ekondo Titi, Chief Esoh Itoh Stephen. The supervising hospital, Baptist Hospital Mutengene (BHM) undertakes a doctor’s support visit to the health centre while also there is an eye care support visit from Kumba Baptist Health Centre.
Ekondo Titi Baptist Health Centre operates on a straight shift which runs from 7am to 3pm and has a bed capacity of ten. The common diseases seen are malaria and intestinal diseases among others.
The services offered at the health centre are General Consultation, Maternity Services (ANC, deliveries- an average of four done per month, postpartum care), PMTCT Services, Expanded Programme on Immunisation, Laboratory Services, Pharmacy, Security services
Eye, dental and physiotherapy services are yet to be started and these are services which are expected to make Ekondo Titi Baptist Health Centre outstanding among the many health facilities in the town.
Location: It is located in the centre of Ekondo Titi town in Ekondo Titi Subdivision in Ndian Division of the Southwest Region of Cameroon. The major occupation of the indigenes here is plantation agriculture with palms being the main cash crop.
